Jack Spade started when founder Andy Spade wanted an appropriate bag for work. In an interview with A Continuous Lean, Spade said, “… when I went to the office I didn’t want to carry an alpine bag, and I wasn’t attracted to designer bags. So I wanted to create something in between, with menswear fabrics.” And so he made the Jack Spade collection of bags and, in so doing, launched a revolution that continues today.
